Top Ten Books On My Fall To-Be-Read list

I love this topic, even if I haven't gotten to many of the books on my past lists.  Here are the books I am most looking forward to that will be published during the period from fall equinox which starts today through the winter solstice which begins on December 21st.  I really hope I get to these.

Mortal Heart (His Fair Assassin #3) by Robin LaFevers

I adore this series.  If you haven't read the first two books, do yourself a favor and pick them up.  I really hope that this book lives up to the first two.

The Queen of Zombie Hearts (White Rabbit Chronicles #3) by Gena Showalter

I can't wait to see how this ends.  I have really enjoyed this series.

Trust Me, I'm Lying by Mary Elizabeth Summer

They changed the cover on this book (this is the old cover), but the description stayed the same, and it looks awesome.

This Is How It Ends by Jen Nadol

I really enjoyed Jen Nadol's previous series, so I look forward to reading this.  She is not a very well known author, but her work is great. 

The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #3) by Michelle Hodkin

I have been waiting to read this book for what seems like forever.  There is no question, I WILL read it before the season is over.

Stolen (Heart of Dread #2) by Melissa de la Cruz

I mentioned a few weeks ago that this is a make or break book.  I didn't love the first book, so I'm hoping this one will be better.

 Atlantia by Ally Condie

 I loved Matched, and the series kind of went downhill for me after that.  I am curious to see if this new series is any better.

They All Fall Down by Roxanne St. Claire

The description of this book makes me want to read it badly, but really the cover is what really makes me want to read it right now.  I saw this at ALA, and I wanted to start reading it right away.

The Year of the Rat by Clare Furniss

I love a good debut and this one looks wonderful.  I don't know if it's because I'm a relatively new mother that this looks so good to me, but I am curious to see how they handle the difficulties of having a new baby around, let alone having to deal with a new baby without a mother.

Of Scars and Stardust by Andrea Hannah

This book looks so intriguing.  I can't wait to read it.

Top Ten Books I Really Want To Read But Don't Own Yet

I own a lot of books.  I actually own an insane ridiculous amount of books.  So most of these books haven't come out yet, so I don't know if this list is very fair.  Also, I am a very big user of my library, so if I don't own it, and it's out, I just borrow it from the library. Because of this, I'm going heavy with books that haven't been published yet.

Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss #3) by Stephanie Perkins

I just picked up my copy from the library, and I'll read it soon.  Meanwhile I do need to get a physical copy so I have the complete set.

False Future (False Memory #3) by Dan Krokos

I have really enjoyed this series and I look forward to seeing how it ends.  It helps that a lot of the series takes place in Cleveland, which is my hometown.

I have really enjoyed this series, and I am actually sad to say goodbye to it.  I'm going to miss some of these characters.

 

The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #3) by Michelle Hodkin

When I started this year, I didn't realize that I was going to say goodbye to so many series.  I can't wait to see how this one ends.

Silent Alarm by Jennifer Banash

I really enjoyed her first book, and this one looks great too.  It doesn't come out until next year.

The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord

Her first book was my 2nd favorite debut this year.  I can't wait to read this one.  If it's half as good as the first, I'll love it.

Stolen (Heart of Dread #2) by Melissa de la Cruz

This is a make or break book for me.  If I like it, I'll look forward to the end, and will anticipate it.  If not, I will say goodbye to this series.  

 

The Young Elites (The Young Elites #1) by Marie Lu

I missed getting a copy of the ARC at ALA this year, but I am still looking forward to reading this book.

Pretty Wanted (Pretty Crooked #3) by Elisa Ludwig

There are a lot of trilogy endings on this list, but they are the books that I am most looking forward to.  This is a fun series, and it has taken some interesting turns.  I look forward to seeing how it ends.  I have to wait until next year, which makes me sad.

The Shadow Cabinet (Shades of London #3) by Maureen Johnson

Another series I am looking forward to seeing how it ends.  I featured this last week as my WoW, but I have to wait until next year to find out the ending.

Top Ten Books That Will Make You Swoon

Confession.  If a book can make me swoon, it's almost guaranteed to be one of my favorites.  I love a good sa-woon.

Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss #1) by Stephanie Perkins

The insane swooning in this one.  I have read this book so many times, and each time I swoon. 

Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols

Although there are some bigger issues in this book, there is still tons of swoon-worthy moments. 

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #1) by Michelle Hodkin

I know a lot of people have issues with insta-love, and I can accept that, but I did some serious swooning while reading this book. 

 My Life Next Door (My Life Next Door #1) by Huntley Fitzpatrick

So sweet, and so swoony. 

Playing Hurt by Holly Schindler

I had some issues with the relationship, but once again that didn't stop me from swooning. 

Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #1) by Maggie Stiefvater

I loved this book.  It broke my heart, but it also made me swoon. 
 

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

Another book that deals with some major issues.  But once again it brings the swoon. 

The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

The original SA-WOON book.  I think I've read it 100x just for the swoon factor. 

Unravel Me (Shatter Me #2) by Tahereh Mafi

Although the first book was pretty swoony:  This one, OMG!  SWOON! 

 

This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen

I had to put two Sarah Dessen books on this list.  I couldn't limit myself to just one.  I have my swoon moments actually bookmarked so I can go back and revisit then on a regular basis.

Top Ten 2014 Release I'm Dying To Read

There will be a lot of duplication from my list of sequels I can't wait to get my hands on, but there are many that are new as well.

Evertrue (Everneath #3) by Brodi Ashton

I love this series and I can't wait to see how it ends.

Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss #3) by Stephanie Perkins

I have mentioned before, I will be devastated if this gets pushed back even more.

What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick

Her debut novel was one of my favorites in 2012. I have high expectations for this one.

The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith

I know I keep repeating this, but Jennifer E. Smith is quickly turning into one of my favorite authors.  I can't wait to read this book.

Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3) by Tahereh Mafi

Another series finale I just can't wait to read.  I'm going to say goodbye to a lot of series next year.  I hope it ends well.

Rebel Belle (Untitled Series #1) by Rachel Hawkins

I love Rachel Hawkins, and I can't wait to read her new series. 

The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #3) by Michelle Hodkin

I know why this was delayed until 2014, but I REALLY need to be reading this right now.  I can't wait to see how it ends.

Cress (Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

I don't know how this got left off my sequel list, but I am super excited for this book.  I already have the ARC, I just need to read it!

The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson

I love Laurie Halse Anderson, and I've been waiting for a new YA book from her for what seems like forever.  I have a pre-ARC of this, that I got at ALA, I just wanted to wait a bit to read it.  I will get to it soon!

Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson

I love a good contemporary, and I can't wait to read the newest from this author.  I enjoyed her first book more than her second, but they were both excellent. I hope I get my hands on this soon.

Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

Well not only are these the top sequels I am waiting for, many of these are the top Books I'm waiting for in 2014.  When that list comes out, I will have to add some standalones to the list!  But here are the sequels I am insane with wanting to read:

I kind of need this book right now.  I love this series, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Between the Spark and the Burn (Between #2) by April Genevieve Tucholke

This book almost didn't make my list, but I am curious to see what happens next.

Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3) by Tahereh Mafi

I enjoyed the first book, and loved the second book.  I  can't wait to see how the story resolves.  I am just scared about how the triangle will resolve itself.  There are bound to be bitter feelings either way.

Killer Frost (Mythos Academy #6) by Jennifer Estep

The series is getting a little long, but I'm still really enjoying it.  

The One (The Selection #3) by Kiera Cass

Not one of my favorite series, and I've been harsh to it.  But I still want to see how it ends.

Evertrue (Everneath #3) by Brodi Ashton

I adore this series, much to my surprise.  I have been anticipating this book for over a year.

Silver Shadows (Bloodlines #5) by Richelle Mead

Yes, the most recent book hasn't even come out yet, but I still can't wait for this one.

The Shadow Cabinet (Shades of London #3) by Maureen Johnson

After the second book was such a disappointment, I am looking forward to seeing if this book can make up for the last book.

Another book that should have come out this year but got pushed back over six months!  I don't know how I'm going to make it that long!
