Top Ten Characters You'd Like To Check In With
I often think about some of my favorite characters, and I do often wish we could check in on them. This is very similar to my list of books that need a sequel, but there are some differences. Here are the top ten.
This is probably my favorite of Jennifer Echols' books, and I often want to check in on Meg and John.
I picked Isla and Josh because we did get to check in on Anna and St. Clair, and I almost feel they are doing o.k. Josh and Isla, I really want to know what's going in with them.
This book is one of those is that almost begging for a sequel. If I can't get that, I would love to peek in on Amelia and Chris about seven years after this book ends.
Another book where I really want to jump to the next summer and maybe even a few years later to find out Chelsea and Clint are doing.
Real Live Boyfriends: Yes. Boyfriends, Plural. If My Life Weren't Complicated, I Wouldn't Be Ruby Oliver
(Ruby Oliver #4) by
E. Lockhart
I miss Ruby Oliver probably more than any other character that I've read. I adore her in all her neuroses, and I would love to check in to see how she is doing.
We get to see so little of Hadley and Oliver's relationship. I would love to check in on them and see how they are doing.
Ah Remy and Dexter. One of my all time favorite books. We do get a little peek at what's going on with Remy and Dexter in Just Listen, but I want to jump to about 5 years after that and see how they are doing.
I need more Hale in my life. I don't know that another book is in the works ever, but I really hope we have not seen the last of Kat, Hale, and the rest of the gang.
I am so happy that we got a second book in this series, and I REALLY don't think we need another one. However, I wouldn't mind just a few page update on how Mia and Adam are doing.
We do get to see more of Lydia and Seb in later books, but I would love to know what they're up to now. The book centers around three girls, but really it's Lydia and Seb that I'm most interested in.

OOoh nice! These are totally new to me ones so I don't know the characters. I did read This Lullaby like a million years ago though. But it's long gone. Still great picks!

Have a GREAT day!

I've only read the first Heist Society and If I Stay series from your list and I agree. It would be nice to know what happened to the kids from HS. And I would love to know how Mia and Alex are faring from the If I Stay series.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even familiar with most of these characters, except for Mia and Adam, and I really couldn't care less about those two! (I don't read a ton of contemporary, so that's probably why I don't know most of these characters.)
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! I totally agree with Mia and Adam. I'd read another book about them but even just a glimpse into how they're doing now would be great. :)
ReplyDeleteBtw, your blog name is *so* awesome. :)

I also picked Oliver & Hadley, the ending left so many questions!
