Teaser and Top Ten Tuesday (#27) (09/24/13)

9/24/2013

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Why yes, I am still reading the same book as last week.

From pg.157 of my ARC*

"What else is here?" Gansey asked?  He was using his deeply curious voice and his deeply curious face, the ones he normally reserved for all things Glendower.

*This is and ARC copy.  Page number and quotes may not be the same in the finished copy.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Best Sequels Ever

This was actually a bit difficult for me.  So often the sequel just doesn't live up to the awesomeness of the first book.  Here is the best of the bunch:

Dark Triumph (His Fair Assassin #2) by

Everbound (Everneath #2) by

Unravel Me (Shatter Me #2) by

Where She Went (If I Stay #2) by

The Year of Secret Assignments (Ashbury/Brookfield #2) by

This was the first in the series that I read, and it was definitely the best in the series.  I loved everything about it, and Lydia and Seb remain one of my all time favorite book couples.

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games #2) by

Insurgent (Divergent #2) by

The Boy Book: A Study of Habits and Behaviors, Plus Techniques for Taming Them (Ruby Oliver #2) by

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter #2) by

The awesomeness of the first book could have been a fluke, but after reading this book, I knew it was something special.  The series was destined to be awesome.
Masquerade (Blue Bloods #2) by

Making this list reminded me how much I loved the beginning part of this series.  Yes it got old after a while, and a little too religious for my tastes, but the first few books were just juicy fun.

  1. This is the second teaser from this series today. Is it fate? Haha I like the humor in this teaser. I guess I need to give in to fate and look into the series. If everyone is suggesting it though, it must be a good read. Here is my Teaser Tuesday
