Top Ten Eight Books People Have Been Telling You That You MUST Read
This is really hard because almost nobody tells me that I must read a book. I am usually the one that doles out recommendations. But here are my best efforts.
I know this is middle grade, but people have told me that it's amazing. I love Harry Potter, so I'm sure I would love this too.
Last week people said to give this one a chance. I know people love it, maybe one day.
Another book that has been highly recommended to me. I will read it eventually.
People have told me that this book is amazing. One day I'll read it.
I've heard that this book is absolutely beautiful. I've been meaning to get to it for years.
If there was ever a book that was exactly my type, this would be it. I have been told by numerous people that I would love it. It has been on my short list of books to read for 3 years running. I will get to it at some point.
I've been told that this book is awesome and that I would love it. I will get to it eventually.
I've read the first couple of books in the Mortal Instruments series, and I've been told these are just as good.

Great list! And I too high recommend Percy Jackson!
ReplyDeleteOh man, not to add my voice to the chorus but ... you do really need to read Jellicoe Road and Aristotle and Dante ... they are both AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I don't care about age recommandations. Percy Jackson and the Olympians is one of my absolute favourite books. I love the way it's written with all the sarcastic comments and I grew with it starting the series after it came out and I nearly was Percy's age. Now I still enjoy reading the books and I truly love them.
ReplyDeleteThe Infernal Devices is awesome, too. I fell in love with the characters instantly and I have to say, I cried more while reading the epilogue of Clockwork Princess than I cried when Dobby died and that tells something about how awesome it is, isn't it?
Love, Nadja

This is such a great list. Many of these are on my TBR list. Anne Dressed In Blood is one I have had on my NOOK forever to read and haven't. (Shame on me) Likewise, Clockwork Angel has been sitting on my bookshelf for a long time waiting for me to try it after people have been gushing about much better it is then the original series was which I though was only decent, but I did like it. Happy reading.

Great list!! I'm reading The Lightning Thief with my 9 year old son now. We are about half way through and I think I'm enjoying it even more than he is. Obsidian and Most of Casandra Clare's books made my TTT this week as well.

I've got Obsidian on my list, too. I keep hearing good things about it!
ReplyDeleteI've never read any of these! I do really want to check out Anna Dressed in Blood though and I'm tempted by the Percy Jackson books.
