Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Eight Books People Have Been Telling You That You MUST Read

This is really hard because almost nobody tells me that I must read a book.  I am usually the one that doles out recommendations.  But here are my best efforts.

I've been told that this book is awesome and that I would love it.  I will get to it eventually.

I've read the first couple of books in the Mortal Instruments series, and I've been told these are just as good.

  3. Oh man, not to add my voice to the chorus but ... you do really need to read Jellicoe Road and Aristotle and Dante ... they are both AMAZING!

  4. To be honest, I don't care about age recommandations. Percy Jackson and the Olympians is one of my absolute favourite books. I love the way it's written with all the sarcastic comments and I grew with it starting the series after it came out and I nearly was Percy's age. Now I still enjoy reading the books and I truly love them.

The Infernal Devices is awesome, too. I fell in love with the characters instantly and I have to say, I cried more while reading the epilogue of Clockwork Princess than I cried when Dobby died and that tells something about how awesome it is, isn't it?

    Love, Nadja

  5. People keep trying to get me to read the Cassandra Clare series, and I just don't care to, so I know how you feel.

  6. This is such a great list. Many of these are on my TBR list. Anne Dressed In Blood is one I have had on my NOOK forever to read and haven't. (Shame on me) Likewise, Clockwork Angel has been sitting on my bookshelf for a long time waiting for me to try it after people have been gushing about much better it is then the original series was which I though was only decent, but I did like it. Happy reading.

  7. Great list!! I'm reading The Lightning Thief with my 9 year old son now. We are about half way through and I think I'm enjoying it even more than he is. Obsidian and Most of Casandra Clare's books made my TTT this week as well.

    Here is my list: http://www.jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2014/08/top-ten-tuesday-books-people-tell-me-i.html

  9. I've never read any of these! I do really want to check out Anna Dressed in Blood though and I'm tempted by the Percy Jackson books.
