Each Friday I'll feature one of my favorite books or a book I read in
the last week and come up 5 words to describe it. View it as a super
mini review. This week I'm featuring Changeling (The Order of Darkness #1) by Philippa Gregory.
I picked this book because finished it in the last week. My five words are:
- average
- clumsy
- curious
- dull
- old-fashioned
So clearly you can see I didn't love it. I didn't hate it, and I think the word average perfectly sums this up. The vast majority of the book was pretty o.k., but the end made my eyes roll so badly I got a headache. Average: perfectly sums this up, I really only needed this one word. Clumsy: I haven't read any of her adult historical novels, but I can't imagine they would fall into this category, but this one did. There were some good parts, bad parts, and it just kind of stumbled along. Curious: This kind of just describes the journey that the characters are on. Dull: The whole things was just kind of dull. Old-fashioned: There was nothing really new or exciting in this book. I feel like I've been there, seen it.
Hey! Love your blog! its super kewl! I just nominated your blog for the Liebster Award! You can see more information here.

ReplyDeleteThis sucks because I just purchased this book recently. I hope I'll feel different about it of course but this doesn't bode well at all. lol.
ReplyDeleteAwesome feature by the way! :D
Awwww man I love Philippa Gregory's historical fiction novels - I haven't read any of these yet, now I am wondering whether they are worth it or not :( Doesn't sound good but thank you for the review!
