Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
From page 103*:
As he stood there listening to Mick talk to him about passion and beauty and the true meaning of love, his eyes wandered past the cameras and the crowds and the security guards, to where a girl with red hair was cutting across the town green.
He was aware of the many pairs of eyes on his back as he jogged through the square of green grass at the center of town, but he couldn't make himself care.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character:
Book Boyfriends!!! I feel like I keep the same books on my list over and over. For me a good book tends to be one where I would want to be friends with the main female character, and I would want the main male character to be my boyfriend. Because of this, my favorite books also happen to contain my favorite boys. Picking 10 is just mean. So I had to debate a lot about the 10 boys I would limit myself too. Would they be boys that I would be attracted to if I had my same personality in a book? Or should I pick just 10 boys no matter their personality/hang-ups, because as a fictional character, I would be able to handle their issues, and they wouldn't drive me up a wall? I'm going with the second.Adam Wilde
If I Stay (If I Stay #1) by Gayle Forman
Loyal, talented, and sweet. What a great combination. However, I would probably not pick him if I was limiting this list to guys I would pick if I had my same personality.
Adrian Ivashkov
Bloodlines
(Bloodlines #1) by
Richelle MeadIs there any other reason to read this series other than for Adrian? I have always been on team Adrian. This bad boy has always had my heart. That being said, if I had my same personality in a book, there is NO WAY I would want to date him.
Cole Holland
Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles #1) by Gena Showalter
He's hot, he's protective, and he can kick some butt. For me, this was instalove. He has a good chance of making both lists.
Cole St. Clair
Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #2) by Maggie Stiefvater
For me, the ultimate bad boy. The desire to always live life on the edge. Super smart, super snarky, and super talented. Once again, there is NO WAY I would ever date him. But I was fictional, it wouldn't bother me all
Dexter Jones
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
Oh Dexter, you make this book for me. Funny, talented, and sweet. An ultimate believer in love. The author has said she had to give him some faults, because otherwise he was too perfect. I agree. LOVE HIM.
Jase Garrett
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
While Sarah Dessen made the choice to make Dexter imperfect, Ms. Fitzpatrick made no such effort when she created Jase. He is PERFECT. Loves his family, is super sweet, and an all around great guy. He is a great example of a guy that can only exist in fiction. He makes EVERY list.
Seb Mantegna
The Year of Secret Assignments (Ashbury/Brookfield #2) by Jaclyn Moriarty
I have always had a special place for Seb in my heart. If I had to pick on boy on this list that I would want to date in real life, he just may be number one. The fact that he can handle Lydia, makes him something special. Their relationship is my favorite part of this series.
W.W. Hale the Fifth
Heist Society (Heist Society #1) by Ally Carter
He loves an adventure, he has no medeling family, and he's rich. He's also super sweet, and seems pretty darned smart.
Wes Baker
The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
Yet another boy who makes the book. He's talented, and smart, and apparently super hot. Plus he's responsible, and sweet. He easily makes every list.
Zachary Goode
Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy (Gallagher Girls #2) by Ally Carter
He's super smart, mysterious, and resourceful. What more could a girl want? He would probably make both lists.

ReplyDeleteDexter is so great. I especially love that Dessen created him as the anti-Roger because she had just finished writing Dreamland.
ReplyDeleteHale and Zack?! Oh I am in complete agreement! Ally Carter knows how to write some cuties!
ReplyDeleteOh Cole! He was wonderful! I listened to Linger on audio and Cole's voice was perfection. lol.
