Teaser and Top Ten Tuesday (#20) 08/06/13

8/06/2013

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

From pg. 57 of my ARC*

"Listen closely, evil-spawn child, I don't want to kid-sit you anymore.  And by the way, do you know you have the worst timing ever?"

*This is and ARC copy.  Page number and quotes may not be the same in the finished copy.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels

This is a very interesting topic because there are some books that are just perfect with how they ended and I don't need more.  Also, sequels can disappoint.  Other times I am actually surprised when a book has a sequel and it's even better than I expected.  So if I had to pick here are the ten books that I would love to find out what happens next.  Note there are no series in here that need another book to justify the ending (Delirium), but I certainly could have listed a few.

Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by

 My Life Next Door by

Not That Kind of Girl by

 Playing Hurt by

 The Sky Is Everywhere by

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by

This Lullaby by

It's so hard for me to do one of these top 10 without including a Sarah Dessen book.  I a picking this one, because I can never have too much Dexter.  I am just dying to know what happens between him and Remy.

Love and Other Perishable Items by

Can we have a book that jumps ahead 10 years please?  What happens?  I know this book has mixed reviews, but it stuck with me, and I really want to see what happens next.

  1. Lisa I cannot believe that I hadn't seen "Love and other perishable items" until now in the Top Ten Tuesday post, your the second person that mentioned this book, I'm definitely putting it in my Goodreads TBR list.

I'm also about to start The Sky is Everywhere for a Read-along it's been a book that has been in my wishlist for awhile and I just recently purchased so I'm looking forward to reading that too, I've heard so many great things about it.

If you haven't read The Sea of Tranquility, it maybe a book that you'd enjoy, just from your book list above ;)
